Tobagonian among Winners for WASA Report a Leak promotion

Joan James of Valencia is the first winner, by way of entries via Facebook, in the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA)’s Report a Leak promotion. James has been named one of the winners in week four of the promotion.

Another first for the promotion is Tricia Job-Chapman, who is the first winner from Tobago.
James and Job-Chapman are joined by Theresa Fitzpatrick for reporting the most leaks. All three have won $500 in free groceries courtesy HiLo, and are also eligible for the grand prize of a Samsung 40” LED Smart TV courtesy Standard Distributors Ltd.

The promotion, which started on July 29 and ends on September 30, encourages citizens to help prevent water wastage by reporting leaks found on streets throughout Trinidad and Tobago. WASA expects this promotion to assist in its efforts to identify and repair outstanding leaks along its pipeline network that contribute to the high level of wastage and unaccounted for water (UFW).

To report a leak, entrants can call the hotlines 800-LEAK (5325), or 800-4420/800-4426 and use the key phrase “WASA leak promotion”; post the leak on WASA’s Facebook page (WASA Trinidad & Tobago); or tweet the leak to WASA’s Twitter page (@wasatnt), using the #wasaLeak hashtag and provide the exact location of the leak and their contact information.
