Michelangie appeared before a Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday before Magistrate Seemungal Ramsaran, and will also appear in the Port of Spain and Arima Magistrates’ Courts, respectively, to answer similar charges of obtaining credit by fraud.
Two Tobago guest house owners, Joann Douglas and Seymore James, appeared in court as witnesses in the matter. The matters were laid indictably as she was not called upon to plead.
Charges were laid by WPC Williams/Reid and Cpl Walters of the Crown Point Police Station. She was placed on $30,000 bail with surety, with Clerk of the Peace approval, to reappear on November 3.
