A car seen Covered by the Ply-board structure erected by THA workmen |
As a user of the Garden side street Car park, one could not have failed to notice the damages to people's cars that would have been caused by a badly secured ply board barricade used to separate users from work men. The barricade which was decorated in red white and black for the 50th Independence Anniversary of Trinidad and Tobago fell sometime around 12 on Monday 3rd September. This fall cause enormous damages to vehicles belonging to users of the Car-park.
What could have been seen was the blanket of the inch-thick ply board structure stretching over 30 feet falling on top of Sedans, SUVs, and Vans. Owners of these vehicle came at the site in anger, trying desperately to ascertain information as to what would have cause the accident and who would be responsible for the repairs of their vehicles.
This barricade would have been erected to separate users of the public for the construction site at the Botanic Gardens. At the time no one seemed to know how the structure fell and who they must contact for compensation.
